Northern Gauteng Region of ILASA is an integral part of ILASA and subscribes and adheres to its Constitution and By-Laws, which controls the professional standards and conduct of its members by means of a Code of Conduct and a Disciplinary Procedure.
Loss adjusters are the bridge between the insurer and the insured
The Association of Insurance Assessors of Southern Africa, as it was then known, was formed in 1960. The name was changed to The Institute of Loss Adjusters of Southern Africa on 20 August 1968. The name was registered with the Bureau of Heraldry on that date.
No person other than a member of the ILASA may use the term Loss Adjuster.
The local Northern Gauteng Region of ILASA operates independently under the leadership of a committee represented and consisting of the Chairman, Vice-chairman, and Treasurer, Secretary and Educational and training officer as elected by its members. The Regional Chairperson is appointed to the National Committee of ILASA.
Northern Gauteng Region of ILASA view ourselves as Independent Claims Specialists who strives to deliver ‘Par excellence’ unbiased investigative and objective loss adjusting service to the insurance fraternity, by bridging the gap between insured and insurer.
To deliver an unprecedented loss adjusting service to the industry within Northern Gauteng Region of ILASA adhering to the latest legal implications; such as TCF and to be fair, objective and honest in all our dealings.

To promote the skill, efficiency, service and responsibility of the profession

To represent generally the view of the profession and to promote the common interest of members of the profession
To co-operate, liaise with or make representations to such other authorities, societies, corporate bodies or persons as it may deem fit
